I want to upgrade my rig, is this a stupid time? i want to get a new processor, thinkin C2D, but i keep hearing stuff about new processors coming out.

I notice this motherboard is getting only 40% 5 star, any other recommendations?
I plan on overclocking so i thought sht XMS was more necessary than the Value stuff.
Like i said, i dont know if now is a good time to upgrade, i want to have good stuff, but i dont want to spend a fortune, should i save my money and wait for the next set of Intel or AMD chips to come out? or just buy now?
