Not sure whether to put this in the vista, mobile, or software category. I have an Acer 5100 5023 and no matter how many times I try, windows fails to install this update. I have googled it and it seems to be a chronic problem with the Acer, however I tried, maybe wrongly, the remedies they listed and I cant get it to work still. The update is called: Silicon Image - Other Hardware - ATI 4379 Serial ATA Controller ...could someone help me out? There are two remedies here,

btw I have Windows vista and a Ati radeon xpress 1100
