I am not a big fan of Sony much anymore either....
Had to service some Laptop and the customers didnt have the rescource CD and i couldnt find the drivers on the net so a call to Sony to find how to get the drivers...
Techsupport wanted to charge a basic rate of 25.0 for every driver needed....WHAT?
I was in no going to pay for a driver that was already paid for by the customer when the unit was purchased....
Lucky I found someone with a copy of the rescource CD so I could get the images I needed...I have also heard horror stories about Sony and their stupid idea and or tactics....
I used to like there products....(actually still do) but if it needs suport it's gone....
I am so glad I didnt buy one of those PS3's.....I almost did...if this would have happened to me I would be fuming.....
The only reason I didnt is because of cost and size....I was looking for a 60gig unit as the HD is hardware encoded via onboard chip....as where the 80gig units are software encoded...
I ended up with a Wii....much happier with my choice....well atleast the kids are...
