Are you trying to use another email domain - that was not provided to you by your ISP?

What EzyStvy was mentioning before, and this seems to be what's happening, is that if you use an email address & servers that was not provided by your ISP .. the mail will not go through. Most servers have instituted this policy of not allowing you to use any other SMTP server on port 25. This is done to reduce spam. read: http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=4640
As mentioned in the document, you must either use AT&T (assuming this is your ISP) to send email or check with your email service provider if you can use authenticated SMTP.
