I believe Winamp does have a WMA plug-in, you may want to check NulSoft.

WMA files do not have the same ID characteristics as MP3 files. MP3 ID tags are based on the information generated by CDDB servers and their users. It's a 'open-source' idea -- do you honestly think M$ would have anything to do with anything open-source?
