Most of the big boys (i.e. Nikon, Minolta, Olympus, Pentax) produce a consumer grade model. What I look for when I look at digital cameras is how many megapixels does the camera yield (mega=million, pixels are the tiniest unit on your monitor screen). This is the prime indicator of what the resolution of the image will appear on your screen. Here's an article that may help you
