The reply from Flip Video Support is not something thats really address the problem IMHO, disabling the USB Enhanced Host controller will led to the highspeed controller being shutdown and left the USB1.1 controller taking up the task which is 40 times slower in paper specification.

If you can live with the slower USB 1.1 speed and wish to stick to it in future, you need to access the BIOS then navigate to the USB controller, change the current Highspeed setting to Fullspeed, save and exit the BIOS for the change to take effect.
