Sorry Clyde, but it wouldn't be murder to shoot him on site as the defense of "Self Defense" would apply. I could make a great argument for Self Defense based on the plethora of facts available. The soldier would have certainly heard all the very credible stories of how bin Laden would "not be taken alive", intended to "blow himself" up, etc., etc. The Soldier would certainly be in immediate fear of his life. For the defense of "Self Defense" to fly, it need only be deemed "reasonable". The "reasonable" element is clearly present here based on bin Laden's past acts. Therefore, a charge of murder would not be forthcoming.
