YES! I used the Live Update Online, and it worked like a charm. It updated the BIOS all the way to 1.7, and after that my USB devices worked perfectly!

Thank you so much for your help! This has been a thorn in my side for years. It's very nice to be able to handle pictures, update my iPod, and do all the miscellaneous stuff that I've been unable to do all this time.
