Light bulbs: how much is cost of light bulb compare to electicity bills you might get?
TV's: it's know- leaving TV on- may catch on fire.
PC's: I leave PC on untill I go to bed.

That's why I'm not afraid to purchase used or refurbished equipment.
Haven't had any failure with such purchases.
