IE6 is now a very unsecure browser and continuing to use it is going to leave your computer wide open to a large number of security vulnerabilities.
Even though you don't like it you would be well advised to update to IE8 and just get used to it, if you are adamant about staying with IE6 I strongly suggest you don't do any internet banking or shopping.
