my desktop pc in my home has my router set up to it, and i have been using wifi off my latop for a good year now.

every now and then my laptop connection will fail (mostly when it rains or storms). so i go to check my router, and most of the times the whole internet in my house is out.

well today there was light rain since 8am. its not 3pm. i came home, turned on my laptop, opened the internet. Went to myspace, it loaded fine. Opened my email a new tab, and all the sudden 20 seconds later my connection drops. check my router, and the internet says its working. i even get on the internet on my desktop (hence where I am now, typing this). yet the internet on my laptop is not working. this has happened to me before. to fix it, i just restored my laptop to the day before (restore point) and it will connect fine. for some reason, I CANT connect to my wifi via my laptop. it says "connecting, connecting, CONNECTED!" yet...its not..because i cant get on the internet.

then on the choose a wireless screen it lists my network I use, and i double click to connect and it says "do you wish to disconnect". but i wasnt connected...so my computer is lying to me? sense when did computers have that ability, to lie to me.
