Does anyone have the rosewill usb to ide/sata?

When I first got it I did the logical thing. Plugged the usb in and tried it out. It recognized it. Then I tried plugging in a drive. The 2.5" drive worked great. When I tried the 3.5" drives I couldn't get any of them to work.

Evidently for that one you need to plug in the power with the switch off, then hook up the adapter to the drive, then power up the drive and lastly plug in the usb.

It seems out of order but it works.

Bottom line...

...read the instructions!!!
