The half-boot, dual-boot is annoying to everyone; I've even gotten a triple-boot after overclocking. And once I had to change the battery to boot past that. I don't know about the beeps because I can't hear any the past few years. I have thus far read of 3 different fixes, none of which have worked for me. And what works on one guy's pc seems not to work on another. The easiest to check, and worked for me on 2 cold boots but then back to annoying - in BIOS changed Ram Frequency from Auto to whatever you have - 1333, 1600, etc. Seems it shouldn't make any difference in Auto but it did for others. Hoping a BIOS update out soon.
