So I am just trying to get around the fact that none of my mobile devices seem to like logging into the VPN, which is my key to many online databases. I was hoping I could log in to the VPN with my desktop, and through the wireless router/network get onto the databases with my mobile devices without having to log into the VPN.

Assuming I have the correct router, can it be set up though the "network wizzard" on windows?
