I've used nothing but X-Chat on Snow Leopard and Lion. I don't have Mountain Lion so I haven't tried it yet. Do note that I have an old version: X-Chat is no longer called so on the Mac platform, it's now called Azure and it's available on the App Store.

Azure. Unfortunately, it looks like the current version is crashing on Lion.

I'm running Aqua Version 0.17.0-rc1-3-gac11015 (0.17.0.1437). Runs fine.
