Nice smooth running site Strider. I hope you do well with your ambitions.

I had an interest in constructing web sites a good while back and still have an interest in graphic/image programs. I ran one site that gave TV and video recorder faults advice (when those items were worth repairing) and another that just showed my own and Mrs martson's pastime interests. I put these together using a program called Namo WebEditor. Images were processed in Corel Photo-Paint.

Websites look a lot better now than the ones I did, yours included of course. Mine were functional but not particularly nice looking like yours is. Then again, they were done years ago in pure HTML and they had to be not too slow to load because people were mostly still on slow dial-up connections. The TV/video recorder advice site became redundant and has gone now but I've kept the pastimes site there for what it's worth. Here it is:

Cross stitch, Crafts and Photo restoration

Just a small section in it talks about the TV trade as it once was.

I was often asked to optimise images for a company's web site. No images above 40KB in file size and below that if possible. Removing the number of colours in GIFs to knock a few bytes off all helped with page loading times. The company was particular about it. I suppose you don't need to worry about that kind of thing now?
