I am using Windows 8 on a desktop computer without a touch screen and I also have Windows 7 on the same computer. I now use only Windows 8 and there is a large performance increase over Windows 7. Almost everyone that I know that has Windows 8 did not like it after they had it installed and swore they were going to remove it and re-install a previous version of Windows. I tried to encourage them to get Windows 8 setup in a manner that they like (such as running IE 10 as a desktop app and not a Metro app), and I was sure that they would grow to like it. Out of 7 persons that installed Windows 8, only one person went back to Windows 7 and I believe that is because she never gave Windows 8 a chance.

I also installed it out of curiosity and soon realized that I was not going back to Windows 7. There is nothing wrong with Windows 7 but Windows 8 is faster, less bloat, and does many thing in a better manner than Windows 7.

Well you now have heard my 2 cents on the subject, it is my story and I am sticking to it.
