That pretty much sums up how I feel about it, I'm not really going to go back to Windows 7, there is a performance boost with Windows 8 and it's stable.
I beta tested Windows 8 for a year before it came out, and I liked it up to a point so I bought my new computer with it.
But on the other hand I wouldn't really recommend for anyone to upgrade unless they have a specific reason to do so.
It's just not worth the hassle.
In many ways Windows 7 is more usable for my work flow.
But I use Classic Shell and for the most part it isn't too bad.
There are things I really don't like though, like the inability to do a repair install without losing your installed software and the files on your C:\ drive.
I've used that feature in Windows 7 many times.
I have to add that all my games run great in Windows 8, even really old stuff like Tomb Raider from the 90s.
And the new stuff really rocks.
