You need to set the modem to Bridge mode to properly use a router. If the modem was reset, it's now in standard UHP mode.

That indicates it's in UHP mode.
The router is then set up for PPPoE, using your EL username and password. Do a hard reset on the router before configuring it. Unplug the power cord, hold the Reset button in, keep holding it in, plug it back in, and keep holding for 30 seconds. To access it, browse to 192.168.1.1, leave the username blank, password is
admin. You will also have to configure the wireless, it will default to SSID
linksys with no security.
