I see what you're saying, I'm on the same boat with you on it now...
My idea is...
Once I'll test it and if it works, then I would need to exchange BluRay-Rom (original one is broken) maybe HDD (I'll find out once I'll get my HDD usb inter-connector that I have ordered today) and buy the same factor case to reassemble all the hardware in it, plus prolly simple cpu fan. My thinking, if I'll sell that after it's all fixed up and add around $700 , then it would save me some money for a new build. Plus I will get an experience of assembling and knowledge about the hardware parts.
What do you think. Since I know for sure that BluRay-Rom is no good and I will need that in either case (fail to fix this PC or success), would you give me good recommendations on one from newegg or whatever source you prefer?
