three units to the same hardwire?

can I do this?

I have:
One hard wire already ran to my son's room. It is connected to the router.

My son has a PS3, Xbox 360, and his PC.

I would like to set up a switch or (I don't have the vocabulary for it) something to allow him to connect all three units that will eliminate his having to unplug the cord and move it to the unit he wants to get online with.

I think this is done with a hub, but I'm at a loss to the know how.

He doesn't need all three at once to connect, just what ever unit he wishes to use.
