Assuming you are using the Intel controller (refer to my post #3 above):
Break out the motherboard manual and go to Section 4.5 - Creating a RAID driver disk. There are 2 ways of doing it - booting with the motherboard support DVD or running the DVD in Windows on another computer (the way I recommend). I know it says RAID, but this also includes an AHCI driver. Section 4.5.4 may also be pertinent - Using a USB floppy disk drive.
When installing using F6, nothing happens right away, but shortly you will be presented with a menu with a list of drivers. Choose the one that applies - I don't know how many choices you will have but you should be able to figure it out. I have an older board (P35) and the one that applied to me was "Intel ICH9R AHCI Driver". I'm guessing yours will be "P67" something because I think Intel stopped using the ICH numbering system after ICH10 on the P45 boards.
