Recovering lost data

I screwed up. I was making a bootable usb and accidentally selected an external hd. The program I was using to make the usb, formatted the ext. drive, but did not mount the iso.
I can see the hd in disk management. It is reformatted and is described as:
No volume label. Layout=Simple. Type=Basic. File system= RAW. Status=Healthy (Active, Primary partition).
The program I am using to try to use to recover the data is "RecoverMyFiles".
Upon opening the program, I have two choices: Recovery my files and Recover my drive. Clicked recover drive. Doesn't show the drive that needs work. I figure that it needs a volume label to be recognized.

I don't want to do anything else yet, before I talk to the pro's.
Thanks for any tips! This drive had all my backups from previous computers, so it's pretty important.

BTW, The drive is a 1TB and had several partitions.

Edit: Looking into it more, I think I may need a partition recovery software. DL'ing EASUS partition Recovery now. But won't do anything to the drive, until advised further.
