Well, here's an overview of my situation.
I'm trying to get an AMD K6-2 550mhz on an Asus P5A Socket 7 going for my mom so they wont have to use my system (specs below). When I went to put it together, I found that the keyboard PS/2 port didn't work. Find I figured, I'll just use the PS/2 to USB adapter I have, and that did the trick. So everything was going cool, until one day the PS/2 MOUSE port decided to quit. I tried the same PS/2 to USB adapter that hte keyboard was using on the mouse (and the mouse on my computer as well) and neither of them worked. So, I bought a PS/2 to Serial adapter, that is where I stand right now.
As for error messages, I get none. Windows boots up with a mouse cursor in the middle of the screen, but none is detected in Device Manager.
