Any of those is a good distro to start with. They are all easy to install and good about detecting hardware.
RH tends to be aimed more at servers, so not so many bells and whistles are included. But they can be easily downloaded and added to it. Mandy wants to be everybodies first distro for the desktop. Lots of bells and whistles. Cutting edge apps that can be a bit buggy to use. SuSe kind of fits between RH and Mandy. It is very popular in Europe.
So, take your pick, it would be hard to make a wrong choice. Plus, chances are that you will end up trying serveral different distros anyway (simply because you can, hey they are cheap!).
