Quickie fix for you situation. With winzip or winrar make the program a zip file.
Or a little more involved, from the My Computer window under Tools select folder options then view. Uncheck the hide file extensions box. Then find the file to be sent and rename the EXE extension to anything and send it. You then rename it to .exe when you get it.
