greedo Why did my XP login screen change?

This is not major, but one of those "why did this happen" that I can't figure out.

I have XP Home and I am the only user/administrator on the computer. Even Guest is turned off. Since October when I bought this computer the initial login screen pops up with my username and the box to type the password in already open with the cursor in the box. All I had to do was type my password and hit enter and I was in.

Now for some unknown reason, the login screen comes up and tells me to click on the username to enter the password. I have to click on my username, even though it is the only one there, to get the password dialog box to open to enter the password. I checked all the user settings and there are no other users. Wonder why I would now have to click my name to enter the password? You would think that if there is only one user, it would always have the password box open and ready to type in since that is the only choice to make.
