You can remove Gnome easily through the package manager. Just tell it to uninstall Gnome.
I would be careful about removing it though. You may be using some Gnome programs in KDE. i.e.- AbbiWord, gnumeric, gnuCash, gToaster, etc. come to mind. And if you uninstall Gnome those programs will also be removed. So, unless you are short on space, I'd leave it alone. You can uninstall the extras such as screen savers, system sounds, and such. But you will still need the Gnome core files to keep those Gnome programs running.
