Repairs/painting/fixing things around the house is a never ending dilemma ... always love to hear your stories, Sarge. In many ways, I like doing the work but most like seeing the end results.
As for my current endeavour, the tub surround and faucet [which were installed by a professional last Sat] are done, so is the paint job which I tackled as well as most of the caulking ... In reseating the toilet, I ran into problem with leaks [minor but they have to be fixed nonetheless] at the bolts between the tank and the bowl [2 piece American Standard toilet]. It looks like the tank has to be drained again and I'm holding off on replacing the shut off valve tonight [as the main water line needs to be shut off] on a Sunday pm until tomorrow in case something goes wrong. The plan is to not use the metal washer between the bolt head and rubber washer to deal with the tank/bowl drip ... That kataksung [sp?] will be beat.
BTW, ever notice that no matter what plumbing job is under way, a trip to the store for more supplies is usually needed.
