How about killing Hitler while he was young and not so popular? Lots less reprocussions if you caught him while he was not a political giant. Millions of lives saved...
With the right weapon it would only take about 15 minutes.
Interrupt the launch of the shuttle Discovery. ? minutes (Somebody help me out with this time)
Interrupt the departure of aircraft that we know would crash (a simple 2 minute call to the airport security office with a bomb threat would have at least held up the take offs).
Somehow try to re-route the Titanic. (? time ?)
I could go on and on.
