Hi EX-STATIC-CLING

It sounds a good idea to open the System up and have a look to see if the goods are in the box.But in England you can buy a computer one day from a supplier and the next day they've closen down leaving the shop completely empty I bought my machine at MR PC in Richardson Road Stockton Cleveland England,(they still open to my supprise) about a year and a half ago they had put stickers around the case to stop me getting inside to have a look at the goods inside, like a fool I left it until the warranty ran out then I opened it up I was amazed to find out there was only one card in the box that was the modem that I had asked them to fit to avoid me, having to fit myself as I was worried about the machine warranty. There was no sound card or 4 meg VGA card it was all on board but from the back of the system it looked like thre was cards fitted I had just took their word for it, I contacted the trading Standards in Middlesbrough to see if they could help and they were usless as their staff didn't know anything about the terminolgy of Computers. So I would like to say its a good suggestion opening the System but I am unsure whether the warranty still stands well I know the company who supplies the Computer will play on this, the best thing I would say is don't be afraid of saying I'll return when I have found out more about the product these company's are selling. I made the mistake in thinking this company where looking after me and not themselves. But remember Trading Standards look after the company's not the Customer. The thing is trading standards in England get bumper wages but seem to look at our complains as a joke.
