You seem to be getting a throughput ok, maybe its a broblem with your O.S,
I know that windowsME has flaws with the winsock file on many occasions, this flaw / error allows traffic over the connection (pinging etc...) but no page loading,
Its an idea to check it out, if you go to:
start menu > run > sfc
It will bring up a system, which allows you to extract the current winsock file from the O.S, then take things from there.
