Hi Charles,

Well, all of those are not email programs. There is a difference between POP email and web email.

Pegasus, Eudora, and Outlook Express are used to check POP email. This is where you connect to a mail server from your ISP and download the messages to your computer. You can only read your email with an email client that is configured with the POP server and your login/pass. The advantage is that you can download your email and then disconnect from the net, you don't have to be connected to read it since it has been downloaded to your system.

Hotmail and Yahoo mail are web mail services. Instead of using POP servers, the email is located on their web servers, and the advantage is that you can check it from any computer with a browser and an internet connection. Instead of running the email client, you just login to their web site.
