Intel already plans to drop RDRAM. Why do you think that they are so willing to replace the CC820 motherboard with a VC820 with 128Mb of RDRAM (you don't have to return any RAM). I've done one replacement already and here is the catch. You MUST run a terminator in the empty RAM slot. The terminators are impossible to find forcing you to buy another RDRAM module. Slick way of dumping stock and recovering some investment even if it is just a small percentage.
