Hal, I do understand what you about 1 Ghz + 1 Ghz doesn't equal 2 Ghz. Since there are other factors involed. LIke just because you are running a multithread OS like win2K, NT, or linux. The App. you are wanting to run may not be multi thread...Example Seti at home (even the Nt and linux verison) are not multi thread. So the only way you would get a preformance increase is to run two clients....I know this because I have a friend that is running seti on Win 2k with 2 550 Xeon processors....
