The first "problem" is not a problem at all! I have multi-versions on my system right now. I like this feature, and which other software would do the same, like Norton System Works. SW features keep getting smaller and smaller... but you can't have two version installed at one time.
2) I've got broadband, so the download is OK with me. At one time, when patches hit about 50-MB, they stopped allowing D/Ls, and you could only update by mail with a CD. But enough people, myself included, complained, and now they are offering D/Ls again. Go thru customer service to get a copy, or D/L when you go to bed, like I used to, and hope it's done in the morning.
Yes, in every review I've every read, WP has always beaten Word for form and functionality. In fact, Word's next release usually has the features of WP in their last release.
