Thanks for the quote. I read it as this concerns Windows native support, and I don't doubt that MicroSoft will Not add support to Win98.
But that's the beauty of add-in / on cards, they add functionallity that wouldn't otherwise be there. Win98 didn't support SCSI but there are a ton of members who run SCSI on their Win98 machines thru the use of add on cards.
Built in USB support is just another built in add-on/in card, like on board audio. Just like a separte USB add-on board, the controller and other supporting hardware and software is indeed third party with the drivers being specifically writen for "legacy" OSs like Win 98.
As I mentioned above, my USB 2.0 ports are functional, and the A7V333 mobo also has two USB 1.1 "legacy" ports for a total of six USB ports. If only the 1.1 ports functioned, then that would be one thing, but all my ports work.
