1TB = 1024GB
1GB = 1024MB
1MB= 1024KB
1KB = 1024 bytes
1Byte=8 bits
1 bit = a "1" or a "0"

Notice the 1024 factor. 1024 = 2^10 while 10^2 = 1000. Hard Drive makers use 10^2 KB as Megabyte while most operating systems and RAM makers use 2^10 KB as a MegaByte.
