LOOK OUT FOR THE TIME BOMB POSTED BY MICROSOFT!

See my post http://206.161.202.65/forum/showthre...threadid=4706. Have been having heaps of problems browsing with IE5 and IE5.5 and it has been gradually affecting other parts of my system such as graphics.
My apologies to ZoneLabs as I thought that ZoneAlarm had caused all my problems but although it did cause some headaches it was only responding to the disaster from Bill.

After two weeks of hell on the Net (and two reinstalls of IE5 and two of IE5.5, two complete reinstalls of Win98SE and lots of other problem solving routines)I acted on a hunch and discovered that by switching to my old disused Netscape browser and disabling JAVA I could access anything except my bank account (thank God for my bank's security). I eventually got through to Microsoft Oz by phone to find out they are aware of some crappy Windows Update stuff they have been pushing out and which I downloaded in good faith.

Unfortunately the fix they gave me is the download which seems to have caused the problem in the first place so my IE5 is still the same crap after a 6MB download.

Have a look around the bulletin boards and see how many problems are occurring with IE5 and you will see what I mean.

So I challenge the Microsoft Support Team to come clean and post the solution to their Java Script or VMM problem or whatever it is before the NetBrothers close you down.

When I was Stateside I learned to say "have a good day" - maybe tomorrow (which is next day for you guys).
