I think you might have had a .lck file problem. "Lock" files are a "temp" file that gets created when you are using a program to prevent others from accessing it will you are using it. At least that is what I was told once when I had a similar problem with Gnucash. All you need to do is find the file and delete it. Then you should be able to start your program.
