Joe Lieberman DECLINES the Vice-Presidency and retains the senate seat, for a 50-50 split in the senate.( assuming the dems win in Oregon )

Al Gore selects a VP that can be approved.

VP now can break ties in the Senate.
Dems get Senate back !
