If both opticals are on the same IDE channel, time to check the cables - and device manager for controller problems.

I'm a bit hesitant to use a lens cleaner in a burner, it's last resort, too easy to knock the laser out of alignment. Standard CD readers seem to be more tolerant to use of these things.
