Welcome to PCMECH Peter Senkyire!

I assume that you have a router because you are sharing your broadband connection. Usually a router comes with a installation wizard CD, where it will automaticly setup your computer for Internet Sharing.

Windows 2000 should reach information off of the Router, and you should be able to start browsing the net no problem.
