I am trying to set up a 2-computer network to share a DSL connection and a printer. The host computer already has a NIC(ISA) for the DSL and I am having problems installing a second NIC. I purchased a Linksys PCI card and got almost all of the way through the install when I received the blue screen of death. Subsequent attemots provided the same result. I then attempted to install a 3com ISA card. The install appeared to go OK, however, upon booting, I get an error message stating that the 3com card is not functioning properly. My next plan is to try a different ISA NIC, as I think the 3com is having issues due to its complex driver install procedure.
Both computers are running Win98(notSE)and I plan on using Sygate to share the DSL.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike Minnick
