I was trying to do this too, so your timing is great!

However, I tried the HOSTs trick, and it wouldn't work for me.

I am trying it on a computer running Win2000 Pro, and IE 6.

There are two hosts files on the HDD:

C:\I386\HOSTS

C:\WinNT\System32\Drivers\Etc

I don't know why there was one in I386 (or even what that folder is - could be put there by IBM?)

However, I put the site, redirected to 127.0.0.1 into both HOSTS files and it still doesn't work.

Doing exactly the same thing on another machine running Win98FE works fine and blocks access.

Any idea what I might try?
