David - you've probably modified the HOSTS.SAM file in the C:\WinNT\System32\Drivers\Etc. Rename it to HOSTS - it's in the right place. The I386 folder you've got is where the W2K install files are. Check the format:

127.0.0.1 www.bannerspace.com ##
