At the time I wrote this everyone was clammering about the glory of going after Ben Laden and taking out the Telebahn. But war is not about glory, war is about settling a dispute by the use of deadly force. Sometimes there just is no other way.
This war is no different. I support, in fact I praise the President of the United States of American for having the intelligence to know when enough is enough and the moral fortitude to do something about it. But though I support this war, does not mean that I think of it as a glorious act, it's not. It is a last resort to rid the world of a tyrant.
As for Glory, only an individual through personal bravery against extreme odds can achieve glory in a war. But you ask that man if he was glorious and he will tell you, "No! I did what I had to do." So you see, there really is no glory.
