Oh gawd..another AMD vs. Intel discussion!!
Well, I aquired me a PIII-700e and set that puppy on a P2B-F with a bus speed of 150mhz.
End result? 966mhz, FULL speed L2 cache and faster then a scalded dog for water.
The chip is stable even at this bus rate which surprized me even on this board which is simply a "BX" board. AMD? naaaa...I can use any video or other device without "compatability" issues of ANY sort.
Now, the CeleronII`s are out and going to a GIG+ for under 200.00 and still at full speed L2 cache.
CeleronII 733`s are due by the fall and the 1GHZ barrier will be a fond memory just like 640KB of memory was. Get the "E" based Intel CPU...not the "EB" based CPU..."THEN" set FSB to 133 or better.....WHOOSH!
