in corporate environments, there are devices available that can "transform" pages into something a little usable form for a PDA.

they aren't exactly cheap, but for an enterprise sized company that is migrating over to PDA devices it really does the trick. the administrator can customize commonly used pages (like intranet pages) to a form factor that easily fits the screen of a PDA.
